Overall,  The Canon SD630 takes pretty good pictures.  The following examples were taken from an actual SD630.  After these examples you will see where the SD630 did not do so great.

This is a 6 Mega Pixel shot of a Hibiscus flower in the backyard.  Camera set at Max resolution and Macro Mode.  BEAUTIFUL!   Thumb nail of hibiscuss flower shot using canon  SD 630  Resolution: 2816 X 2112,  1.32MB

 

This photo was taken with the same settings but it took a few tries to get the SD630 to focus on this disgusting looking parasitic aphid things that were sucking the life out of my hibiscus flower EVEN before it had opened!!   Photo was taken about 12 inches away.  Despite the dislike for the creatures in the picture, the camera did well and the photo came out nicely.
