The camera bottom edge is shown in the picture below with a tape measure which indicates the SD630 is about 1.5 Inches thick.  It has the standard mounting hole for a tripod.  The battery / SD ram access door is also shown below.  The door seems like a fragile piece of plastic that could pop out and get lost.  I don't think it will last two years the way we use our camera constantly.
