There are 3 basic ways to measure DC / AC current.

• Use a hand held digital multi meter DMM which usually has a 10Amp Limit

• Measure voltage drop across a precision resistor using a Digital Multi Meter

• Use a magnetic field current sensor, also known as a hall effect transducer
